Registration for The Southern Minnesota Book and Art Festival is now closed, unless you are registering for vendor space only. Registration for vendor space continues until 11:59 pm on Sept. 15, 2019. The Southern Minnesota Book Festival is sponsored by the Arlington Book Project, an organization dedicated to providing free literacy-based academic support services for area students and adults, as well as promoting a culture of reading in Southern Minnesota. This festival highlights local, regional, and emergent authors, storytellers, and artists, and offers indie publishers and other exhibitors an opportunity to reach an audience beyond the metro area. The festival features books and authors, publishers, artists, workshops, children's activities, antiques dealers, and food and drink. It is free to participate and free to attend. There is no registration fee for vendors or other participants! The event provides listings of participants in the event program, website, Facebook, and through media promotions throughout Southern Minnesota and the metro area.
Registration (Deadline for vendors only is 11:59 pm Sept 15, 2019)
Registration for readings or demonstrations is now closed. Vendors should register via the online registration form or using the printable registration form. Please provide as much detail as possible about your vendor sales (exhibitor, publisher, book or antiques dealer). If your work is oriented toward children, please indicate that so you will be included in the children's pavilion. All participants must also print and mail us a signed copy of the Terms and Agreements. Vendors must also mail us ST19 forms.
If you have something to sell (books, art, antiques, etc.) bring it to sell at your own table. Space (10'x10') is free to all authors, artists and vendors and you retain 100% of your sales, but space is limited so register early! A limited number of tables and chairs will be provided, but please let us know when you register if you need them; they will be offered on a first come basis. Also indicate if you will need proximity to electrical outlets.
Depending on the number of registrations, we will be offering indoor space for all vendors, authors, artists, and book and antiques dealers. Readings, visual arts, vendors, and antiques dealers may be placed in various buildings in Henderson, if necessary. If registration is very high, we reserve the right to use outdoor event tents for overflow. A separate children's pavilion will house children's authors, illustrators, artists, and activities.
